Good news! The dogs rescued from the puppy mill in Arkansas have been transferred to the Washington Animal Rescue League in Washington, D.C. There, they will receive further rehabilitation and socialization before being made available for adoption later this month.

I am so glad the Washington Animal Rescue League stepped up and is sheltering and providing care for these precious animals! I am overjoyed that Fox News in D.C. reported the story and their arrival. They have a tremendous audience! Shouldn't be, but I am glad the USDA was "outed" as being the agency responsible for inspections of facilities providing puppies for petshops. Does anyone know if the USDA has ever shut down or sanctioned a breeder?
